Last but not least, Looker is a data platform on steroids. It delivers the great visualisations that are expected in this day and age, and on top of that enables companies to embed analytics throughout all its applications with ease (including third-party applications such as Slack). Looker offers an excellent data governance semantic layer that ensures a single source of truth, and maximises the power of Snowflake by pushing queries down onto the database itself. All of the source code is stored securely in a git repository, making version control easy. Looker also comes with popular pre-built data models that are available for download, saving companies time and effort to deliver insights to the business users.
